STATESVILLE, N.C.
(March 19, 2009) – Randy Moss Motorsports (RMM) is pleased to
announce that Bad Boy Mowers has signed with the team to sponsor Mike
Skinner for next weekend’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS)
race at Martinsville Speedway. Skinner, the inaugural 1995 Truck Series
Champion, will drive the No. 5 Bad Boy Mowers Toyota Tundra in the
fourth race of the NCWTS season, as the veteran currently sits third in
the championship point standings.
“We are happy to
join Randy Moss, David Dollar, and the whole Randy Moss Motorsports
organization,” said Bill Hurst of Bad Boy Mowers. “Mike Skinner and Bad
Boy Mowers have had a previous relationship, as Mike drove a Cup car
that we sponsored a few years ago. Mike is a champion, who can get the
job done behind the wheel, and we are very excited to be re-associated
with him. But to have the addition of Randy Moss Motorsports is just an
awesome fit for our company. We create the ‘bad boy’ image with our
mowers and the race team creates the ‘bad boy’ image on the track.”
Skinner, who has
raced in all three of NASCAR’s top national series, has recorded 25
wins, 81 top-five finishes, and 116 top-10 finishes in Truck Series
competition. Skinner also won the first Truck Series championship and
has accumulated a total of 46 poles in his impressive Truck Series
career.
“I’ve had quite a
long relationship with Bad Boy Mowers, since I have done some
endorsements for them in the past,” stated Mike Skinner, driver of the
No. 5 RMM Toyota. “It’s a complete honor to go racing for a company like
Bad Boy Mowers. They sponsored a Cup car that I raced in the duel races
a couple years back and it was a neat experience to be partnered with
them. They are a really cool company and to have the opportunity to hook
back up with them is just awesome.”
As the NCWTS is
three races in to their 2009 season, Skinner and his No. 5 Randy Moss
Motorsports team have started the season strong, with a seventh-place
finish at the season-opener at Daytona, 11th at Auto Club
Speedway (California), and most recently a fourth-place finish at
Atlanta. The Daytona Beach resident currently sits third in the NCWTS
championship point standings, only 119 points out of the lead.
“So far this season,
we have had great results with our Randy Moss Motorsports trucks,” said
co-owner Randy Moss. “Mike and all of the guys have done an excellent
job and now that we have partnered with Bad Boy Mowers as the sponsor
for the No. 5 truck for next weekend’s race is just awesome. Hopefully,
we will be able to get the Bad Boy Mowers Toyota in Victory Lane.”
The fourth round of
the 2009 NCWTS season will be held next Saturday afternoon, March 28th
at the legendary short-track, Martinsville Speedway. Live television
coverage of the Kroger 250 will begin at 2:00 P.M. Eastern on FOX.
Select affiliates of MRN Radio, along with Sirius-XM NASCAR Radio will
have the live radio broadcast.
