Note, for MOST Murray Models, If your parts list is year specific, The first digit of your "Date Code" on the model sticker is the last digit in the production.
Example:

Model Number: 405001X78B Date Code: 3156

This unit was built on the 156th day of 2003.

If you have a Briggs and Stratton engine on your Murray Equipment, if necessary,
you can also use the date code on the engine to help determine your mowers age.
The first 2 digits of the date code are the year the engine was produced.
(this is assuming the engine is original)


Model Numbers on Murray riding lawn mowers are found on the back of the mower or under the seat. 
Model numbers on Murray push mowers and walk behind mowers are normally
on the center of the deck between the brackets that the lower handle mounts to.
Snow Thrower Model numbers are usually on the auger housing, but may be mounted on the gear box assembly.
Murray Go Kart Model numbers are normally on the floor pan just under the drivers seat.
